Askeys Chocolate Chunk Crackin Sauce.
On a trip to Tesco yesterday I was shocked to discover that this is both dairy-free and vegan.

What is it?
Chocolate sauce for icecream
Squirt it on then watch it sets into a shell over the icecream
If you pour it on something warm it remains runny
Do no refridgerate.

Covent Garden Slow Roast Tomato Soup

Today I am reviewing

image

New Covent Garden Slow Roast Tomato Soup.
I’m not sure why soup makers feel the need to repeatedly marry tomato with dairy but there definitely seems to be some unwritten rule that tomato needs softening with cow based produce. I was surprised that this soup contained no dairy and also cost only £1. Thus I broke my “no ‘posh’ fresh soup” ban.

Tesco Finest Gianduiotti (vegan / Dairy-free chocolate)

Today I am reviewing

image

Tesco Finest Gianduiotti.
Found these in the “normal” choc bit of Tesco thought they sounded a bit like the legendary ‘Vego’ bars and was very happy to discover that these were also free from dairy, gluten and animal products.

What is it?
Choc made from hazelnut paste
Unexpectedly vegan

Ingredients:

image

Free from:
Dairy
Gluten
Egg
Honey
Gelatine
Meat

Thus suitable for:
Vegans
Vegetarians
Coeliacs
Allergy/intolerance sufferers

Looks like:
A rounded triangular prism of chocolate
Milk choc coloured
Covered in foil
Think tiny curvy toblerones

image

Smells like:
Nutty milk choc

Feels like:
Melts in fingers
Melts in mouth
Smoooooooth

Tastes like:
Mmmm yum
“I can’t believe its not milk choc” we chorused
Toddlerini went “*munch*”
Bit like a smooth noisette triangle
Like solid dairy-free Nutella

Price:
£3 in choc isle of Tesco

Conclusion:
You should probably treat yourself or a loved one to these little beauties
They’re £3 but…yes they’re worth it!
Don’t expect them to last beyond a day though!

5/5 – choccy bliss!
