On a trip to Tesco yesterday I was shocked to discover that this is both dairy-free and vegan.

What is it?
Chocolate sauce for icecream
Squirt it on then watch it sets into a shell over the icecream
If you pour it on something warm it remains runny
Do no refridgerate.

Tesco Finest Gianduiotti (vegan / Dairy-free chocolate)

Today I am reviewing

image

Tesco Finest Gianduiotti.
Found these in the “normal” choc bit of Tesco thought they sounded a bit like the legendary ‘Vego’ bars and was very happy to discover that these were also free from dairy, gluten and animal products.

What is it?
Choc made from hazelnut paste
Unexpectedly vegan

Ingredients:

image

Free from:
Dairy
Gluten
Egg
Honey
Gelatine
Meat

Thus suitable for:
Vegans
Vegetarians
Coeliacs
Allergy/intolerance sufferers

Looks like:
A rounded triangular prism of chocolate
Milk choc coloured
Covered in foil
Think tiny curvy toblerones

image

Smells like:
Nutty milk choc

Feels like:
Melts in fingers
Melts in mouth
Smoooooooth

Tastes like:
Mmmm yum
“I can’t believe its not milk choc” we chorused
Toddlerini went “*munch*”
Bit like a smooth noisette triangle
Like solid dairy-free Nutella

Price:
£3 in choc isle of Tesco

Conclusion:
You should probably treat yourself or a loved one to these little beauties
They’re £3 but…yes they’re worth it!
Don’t expect them to last beyond a day though!

5/5 – choccy bliss!

Tesco Freefrom Plain Soya Yogurt

Today I am reviewing

image

Tesco freefrom yogurt

Tesco Freefrom Plain Soya Yogurt.
Picked this up last night to be an alternative to sour cream in tacos.

What is it?
Plain yogurt
Made with soya instead of dairy

Free from:
Dairy
Gluten
Wheat
Egg
Meat
Gelatine
Honey

Thus suitable for:
Coeliacs
Vegetarians
Vegans
Allergy/intolerance sufferers

Looks like:
White sloppiness
Plain yogurt

image

Smells like:
Plain yogurt
Almost nothingness but not quite

Feels like:
Smooth but make sure you stir well

Tastes like:
Plain unflavoured yogurt
Its a very good imitation of “proper” yogurt
In addition to slopping it on a taco we had ours with agave nectar instead of honey and it tasted amazing like ‘real’ honey and ‘Greek’ yogurt.

Conclusion:
A good alternative to Alpro yogurt
Not available in as many flavours as Alpro
Toddlerini didn’t think much of it til Agave nectar was added
I would buy this again

4/5 – would buy again.

Having never tried halva before, nor really knowing what it was I’m not 100% sure why I picked up this little tub in the world food section of Tesco, but upon discovering it met my dietary requirements I bought it.

Eat Real Quinoa Chips Sour Cream & Chives.
I initially overlooked these believing they couldn’t possibly be dairy-free because of their flavour, then I spotted the word vegan. After reading and re-reading at least three times I popped these in my trolley.
