Lazy Day Chocolate Chip Shortbread

Tonight I am reviewing

image

Lazy Day Chocolate Chip Shortbread.

After my disastrous encounter with Choc Shot I was eager to try something else from my Co-op Mini Haul in the hope that something had to be worth making the effort of going to Co-op for.

What is it?
Freefrom Shortbread
With Belgian choccy chips

Free from:
Dairy
Gluten
Wheat
Egg
Hydrogenated fat

Thus suitable for:
Vegan
Vegetarians
Haters of hydrogenated fat
Sufferers of allergies/intolerances

Packaging:
Proudly Scottish
Nice clear Freefrom details

Looks like:
Circular Shortbread
Generous scattering of choc chips

Smells like:
Dark chocolate (take note choc shot).

Feels like:
Very hard
The chips melt if you hold them too long

Tastes like:
Very very hard shortbread
The choc chips are quite pleasant, meltable and non-candified…
…but the biscuit is very, very hard and I feared for my teeth.
The Cookie Monster would probably have to take his time with these bad boys!

Price:
£2 in co-op

Conclusion:
They’re quite nice but so very very hard.
We will finish the pack but I don’t think we will be buying any further packets.

3/5 – Cookie Monster beware, one wrong move and your dentures will be history…
