Sainsbury’s Oaty Flapjack Slices

This afternoon we are quicky reviewing

Sainsbury’s Freefrom Oaty Flapjack Slices are freefrom gluten, dairy and animal products.

I think this may be one of the rare occasions where the product actually looks better in real life rather than in the packaging.

They smell of golden syrup sweetness and I was eager to try.

Having a consistency between a flapjack and a granola bar these flapjacks taste yummy but are very, very, very dry and you may find yourself chewing for so long you forget what it was you were eating.

Costing £1.99 (2 for £3) from Sainsbury’s you may be better off making your own flapjacks, however  alongside a nice cup of coffee or something these could be a welcome afternoon snack. Fussy Toddler wasn’t vaguely interested.

3/5 bit too dry for me to buy again.

Pros: gluten-free, sweet, vegan, readily available

Cons: very dry, expensive for only four little slices

I’ve never tried these and for two quid a packet I wouldn’t bother. If I had a craving for a flapjack I’d buy one of the Ma Baker’s ones from an independent wholefood or health food store.
